Our large full colour printer has maximum resolution and delivers the highest quality on either semi-gloss or canvas.
Most posters can be ready to collect within 24-48 hours. Mounting and stretched canvas takes between 2-3 working days.

Supplying Files:
One of the main advantages of Digital Printing is that, in general, specifications for file supply are somewhat less demanding than for conventional offset lithographic printing. That said, there are still potential pitfalls. This information guide has been designed to help you provide us with accurate workable files so that we can complete your printing requirements to schedule.
Your Document Setup:
The maximum document size for digital output (other than for poster printing) is A3 (420mm x 297mm) with full bleed (edge-to-edge printing). Please set up your document so that any important information is at least 6mm away from the edge of your artwork.
Image File Types:
You will get the best results by providing us with image files (pictures and graphics) at 300dpi, at the size at which they appear in your document. However smaller files can work and, unlike with conventional printing, reasonable results can be achieved with lower resolution images. If in doubt, call us on 020 7229 1171.
Fonts:
Although we have a very extensive font library for both PC and Mac, it is still always wise to include both the printer and screen fonts with your job. If you are providing your file in Adobe Acrobat PDF format then please ensure that you have distilled your file selecting the option to ‘embed’ all fonts. When this is the case you do not need to supply the font to us in addition to this file.
Software Packages:
Our digital printing service does not use films or plates and so does not require separating your artwork into the usual process colour CMYK, or at least not in the conventional sense. We can therefore work with a far wider range of software packages than is practical for conventional colour printing. Our systems at The PrintHouse Notting Hill are integrated to work seamlessly with
Adobe Creative Cloud CC2023. In most cases all of the following packages will provide good results, as long as you have followed the other advice in ‘Supplying Files’.

Adobe InDesign Versions CS3 to CC2023: please use the “Package” function to ensure we have everything necessary
Adobe Photoshop Versions CS3 to CC2023: PSD, TIFF, JPG PNG formats at 300 dpi; for layered PSD files please include any fonts used
Adobe Illustrator Versions CS3 to CC2023: AI or EPS formats accepted, please ensure fonts are included or text converted to outlines
Microsoft Office: Word / PowerPoint / Excel: will print, but some font substitutions may occur
Microsoft Publisher: supported, but to ensure best results, please export to PDF
QuarkXpress (all versions): We no longer accept files in QuarkXpress, please ensure to export your work to PDF before sending it to us.
Apple Mac Proprietary:
Pages / Numbers / Keynote: we have limited support for these packages, please export to PDF for best results
Web apps (i.e. Canva): limited support, with some known incompatibilities; please export to PDF.
